Safety Information

The essential oil in a bottle is 50-100 times more concentrated than in the plant, safety issues apply to essential oils that may not apply to the whole plant or herbal extracts.

External use only

Do not ingest/swallow these oils! Some essential oils can cause internal damage when ingested.

When applying to the temples be careful to avoid the eye area. Avoid any sensitive areas.

These blends are intended to be used on an as needed basis.

Always skin patch first to check for irritation. If irritation occurs, please stop using the oils immediately.

Photosensitivity

Some citrus oils contain Furocoumarins and coumarins. This can make the skin extra sensitive to ultraviolet light. Make sure to cover any area where oils have been applied before going into sunlight.

Keep out of reach from children

Children should never use essential oils unsupervised. Please keep your essential oils out of the reach of children, and make sure the lids are tightly secured.

Serious medical conditions

If you suffer from any serious medical conditions you should speak to your doctor before using essential oils as they can interfere with any medication you are already taking.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Some essential oils are not safe to use while pregnant as they can induce labour and some oils can decrease milk supply. Look for caution notes listed with blend information.

Tinted Oils

Some oil blends may have a slight yellow or green tint. Please allow for oils to absorb into skin before coming into contact with clothing as they might stain.

Pets

When diffusing oils around pets, please give them an exit route out of the room or house. Most animals have very sensitive noses and have far more olfactory receptors than us humans do. The smell of the oils may become too overwhelming for them.
